The animated short film “Origin” by our Digital Animation and Illustration students is on a winning streak! Just recently, it was announced to have won the ‘Best Animation Shorts - Student’ in the SEA Kre8tif! Awards 2022. This competition is organised by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) together with 17 Southeast Asian countries and territories as a platform to seek and recognise the talents of animation content creators and awarding them for their outstanding work. This year, the awards have received more than 100 submissions of short animations, and our students’ work came out on top in the student category. Previously, “Origin” had also won two awards – Second Prize in the 2022 Three Acts of Goodness International Microfilm Contest, and Winner in the Animex International Festival of Animation and Computer Games. Such proud achievements by our student team, heartiest congratulations once again!
