Foundation in Communication Design

Course Overview
The Foundation in Communication Design is a prerequisite for both the BA (Hons) Graphic Design and BA (Hons) Digital Media Design programmes. In this programme students acquire the building blocks for skills and knowledge which will prepare them for their advanced art & design programmes in Year 1, 2 and 3. During this period, you will also develop the skills for continued self-managed academic development.

  • Perspective Studies
  • History of Modern Art
  • Study Skills 3

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with minimum 5 credits (5Cs) including English and a pass in Bahasa Melayu and *Sejarah
  • Pass IGCSE/O-Level with minimum 5 credits (5Cs) including English
  • Pass UEC with minimum 5 credits (5Bs) including English
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government AND
  • Pass Drawing Test conducted by The One Academy

    Entry Requirements For International Students
  • Indonesia:
    Ijazah Sekolah Menengah Umum (SMU) 3 / Ijazah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) / Ijazah Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) / Ijazah Madrasah Aliyah (bagi lulusan mulai tahun 2015) dengan gred purata 66 - 100
  • Vietnam:
    Bang Tot Nghiep Trung Hoc Pho Thong (Upper Secondary School Graduation Diploma)
  • China:
    Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate / Graduation Certificate from a Vocational / Technical Secondary School (Zhixiao / Zhigao) or a Skilled Worker School (Jixiao)
  • Maldives:
    UCLES O-Level / A-Level / Higher Secondary School Certificate HSC)
