Skill development and comprehension of tools and processes used to create digital images, video, animation and sound, and hence interactive media. Analysis and discussion will be done on existing examples of interactive media that were effective. Studies also include fundamentals of interactive design, its user experience and the key principles and practices.

Specialisation in areas of interactive multimedia and application of technical skills in large scale projects to develop independence. Studies inclusive of extended knowledge of interactive design techniques, planning multimedia production, experimentation on user control and content access, interface design and theory development.

Students are prepped for career in the digital media sector by undertaking major practical projects, also through enquiry module involving exploration of technical, cultural or theoretical issues of interactive design practice, including studies on multimedia project management, exploration of creative projects and employment preparation.
Semester 1 & 2Internship
12-week mandatory period of work placement with an agency/studio within the digital media industry for practical training after completion of studies in Year 3 (Level 6).
